Lakes Entrance hosted Lucknow in round six of East Gippsland Junior Football Association action at Lakeside Oval last Sunday.
Unfortunately, the under 13 match was abandoned prior to half time due to an injury to a Lakes Entrance player.
Club trainers, supported by an off-duty paramedic, remained on the ground while awaiting the ambulance, before the player was safely moved from the field.
Lakes Entrance remains in second place on the ladder, six points behind unbeaten Wy Yung.
The under 15 clash pitted the second- and third-ranked sides against each other, with the Seagulls overcoming a second-quarter challenge to take control after half time.
Lakes kicked six goals to two in the second half to secure a strong 29-point victory.
A decisive third-quarter burst proved the difference, with the Seagulls kicking three unanswered goals to open up a match-winning break at the final change.
Henry Lothian (three goals), Jacob Silver (three), Cohen Kleinitz, Patrick McGinty, Jack Hayllar and Oliver Jenkins were among Lakes Entrance’s best players.
Similar to the under 13s, the under 15 side sits second on the ladder behind Wy Yung, trailing by just four points ahead of a crucial upcoming fixture.
Lakes Entrance has a bye this weekend before travelling to face Wy Yung at Bullumwaal Road on May 31.
