Bairnsdale Golf Club president Stephen Mann said this week the club is currently in strong shape, with recent visiting pro-am players describing the course as comparable with some of the best country courses in Victoria.
Mr Mann said club membership had now grown to well over 800 members, reflecting sustained interest in the facility.
He said the course was in excellent condition thanks to strong course management and the support of around 100 volunteers, who rotate each week assisting with on-course maintenance and general handyman work around the club.
