The Lakes Entrance Netball Association (LENA) 13-and-under representative team enjoyed a strong outing at the Traralgon Netball Association tournament held last Sunday.
Across seven games played in both mild and wet conditions, the team showed determination, resilience and strong teamwork throughout the day.
Players continued to build their skills with each match, with several closely contested games decided by just one or a few goals.
The highlight came in the final game, with LENA finishing strongly to record a well-deserved 12–1 victory.
Defensively, the team worked tirelessly in the goal circle, applying consistent pressure and creating turnovers, while the shooters delivered accurate finishes under pressure.
Coaches were particularly pleased to see players setting individual goals for each match and achieving them by responding positively to feedback.
LENA acknowledged coach Janet Parker for her guidance and support, and thanked parents for their assistance with set-up, scoring, transport and ongoing encouragement throughout the day.
