On Thursday, April 30, students from
Toorloo Arm Primary School took part in an AFL skills clinic led by students from
the Clontarf Academy at Bairnsdale
Secondary College.
Under the guidance of Turk, the secondary students confidently coached younger participants through a range of ball-handling skills applicable across multiple sports, with a strong emphasis on Australian Rules football.
The session saw strong enthusiasm and engagement from all involved, highlighting the value of peer learning, with students both developing new skills and building confidence through teaching and being taught by one another.
This marked the second time Toorloo Arm Primary School has participated in the program, with staff indicating it will not be the last. The school thanked the Clontarf Academy for delivering a positive and rewarding experience for students.
