Lucknow remains the only unbeaten side after three rounds of “A” grade East Gippsland netball.
Last Saturday the Magpies made light work of reigning premier Stratford, winning 70–43 at Stratford. Lucknow has set the early benchmark for the season, with coach Erica Lynch hopeful 2026 will finally be the Magpies’ year.
Orbost Snowy Rovers was also in outstanding form, delivering a dominant performance reminiscent of a grand final showing from previous seasons. The Blues produced a clinical display to defeat Paynesville 80–31, with their shooting particularly impressive. Liv Betts and Meg Herbert led the way in a strong team performance, with every player contributing. Darcie Garth battled hard for the Gulls.
Wy Yung and Lindenow contested a key early-season top-four clash, with the Tigers prevailing in a spirited contest 37–30. As a result, Wy Yung sits second on the ladder, while Lindenow is sixth, just behind Stratford, with both sides expected to remain in finals contention.
Boisdale Briagolong also produced a strong showing at the Lakeside Oval in Lakes Entrance, comfortably accounting for the Seagulls 75–27. The Bombers controlled the contest from the outset to secure an emphatic win.
After three rounds, Lakes Entrance and Paynesville already appear to be out of finals contention, while the remaining sides continue to shape the early premiership race.
