A Nagle College year 12 student has secured a place in one of the world’s most competitive fashion education programs, earning international recognition for her creative talent and ambition.
Emma Daly, who attends Nagle Catholic College Bairnsdale and studies VCEVM, has been accepted into the Fashion Styling Summer Camp at Vogue College New York, set to run in July 2026.
The program attracts aspiring designers and stylists from across the globe and offers intensive, hands-on training in fashion styling, industry practice and mentorship from leading professionals in the field.
Emma said the opportunity represents the realisation of a long-held ambition.
“It has been a big dream of mine to join the fashion industry,” she said.
Nagle Catholic College principal Doug Doherty praised Emma’s achievement, highlighting her commitment to applied learning and creative development.
“Emma is a fantastic member of the College community who epitomises the VCEVM spirit of applied learning in action,” he said.
“This is a wonderful opportunity and will undoubtedly showcase Emma’s skill sets in a real world context, as well as leading to aspirational opportunities within the world of fashion. We are all very proud of Emma here at Nagle Catholic College.”
While the acceptance marks a significant milestone, Emma now faces the challenge of funding her participation.
The program fee exceeds US$6000, with additional costs for international travel to New York.
Emma is seeking support from the Lakes Entrance, Bairnsdale and wider East Gippsland community, including local businesses and individuals, to help make the opportunity possible.
Donations can be made via Emma’s GoFundMe page or by contacting Nagle Catholic College Bairnsdale.
Nagle Catholic College said it is proud to support students in pursuing their passions, noting its commitment to nurturing students academically, spiritually and creatively, and helping them reach their full potential.
