A much-loved local film society is continuing to bring world-class cinema to Gippsland, with Films at the Bundy set to screen its next feature next month.
The group, which hosts screenings on the fourth Wednesday of each month at Bundy Hall, will present All We Imagine As Light on Wednesday, May 27.
The internationally acclaimed film has received widespread praise, including a five-star review from The Guardian, which described it as a “glorious film”.
Set in Mumbai, it follows the lives of three women navigating urban isolation and dislocation after moving to the bustling city from elsewhere in India.
The film has also enjoyed success on the global stage, taking out Best Film at the Asian Film Awards.
Films at the Bundy continues to attract a loyal following of movie lovers, offering a relaxed and social viewing experience. Visitors are encouraged to attend their first screening free of charge, with flexible membership options available for those keen to become regulars.
Screenings are known for their welcoming atmosphere, with attendees often gathering before and after the film to discuss what they have watched. Snacks and hot drinks are available for a gold coin donation, and guests are welcome to bring their own beverages.
