Jack Clements and Ksenija Varesanovic were crowned open singles champions at the 2026 Maffra Lawn Tennis Club Easter Tournament.
Clements was one of 18 men competing for the coveted green jacket, ultimately defeating Sam Young-Mathers 6-4, 6-4 in the final. His path to the decider included victories over Cooper Millett in the round of 16 (6-4, 6-1), Chris Millidonis in the quarter-final (6-2, 6-1), and third seed Alex McDonald in the semi-final (6-2, 6-2). The win marked Clements’ second green jacket, following his 2019 triumph.
After a stint at college in the US, Clements also partnered with Mitch Allman to claim a second open doubles title, defeating Bryce Devlin and Aaron Rodrigues 6-2, 6-2.
In the women’s draw, Ksenija Varesanovic reclaimed the title she last won in 2024, ending Amber Archer’s run with a commanding 6-3, 6-0 victory in the final. The number one seed showcased her powerful groundstrokes throughout the tournament, including a 6-4, 6-0 semi-final win over Bella Prince, and has a strong record in both open doubles and mixed doubles.
Next year’s event will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the popular Easter tournament, promising another milestone in its storied history.
