Lakes Entrance Amateur Basketball Association was well represented at the recent Basketball Victoria under 14 Skills Day held in Traralgon.
The Pelicans sent nine representatives: Keelie Silver, Isobel Mills, Ivy O’Donnell, Georgia McGinness, Willow Watson, Sunny Eiseman, Beau Russell, Isaac Balington and Flynn Whelan.
O’Donnell and Eiseman were selected from the skills day to take part in the Future Development Program for 2026.
The Regional Academy program focuses on skill development through a 20-week training block and includes two camps held within participants’ local regional areas.
The skills day provided valuable development opportunities, including skills training, terminology education and insight into player development pathways for junior athletes.
All participants benefited from the experience and are expected to apply the knowledge gained to their ongoing development and future basketball opportunities.
