Julie Rowe claimed the Lakes Entrance Golf Club April ladies’ monthly medal last Wednesday, finishing three under to win by two shots from Apola Weel.

The daily medley event and “A” grade were won by Justin Gray, also with three under, while Sue Wilson took out “B” grade honours with an even par round.

In Tuesday’s Young and the Rest of Us competition, Betty Martino was a clear winner with 21 points.

Gray continued his strong form at the Ruthless and Toothless event, winning “A” grade, while Barry Somerville took out “B” grade. Reg Kennedy was all smiles after collecting the NAGA award.

Thursday’s two-ball aggregate stableford attracted a field of 73 players, with Patrick Kinsella and Mitch Naylor combining for an impressive 77 points to claim victory. They finished three points clear of Ian Thomson and Bruce Wilmhurst, with Les Rodgers and Neil McKenna third on countback.

A strong field of 127 players contested Saturday’s medley stableford, with “B” grade player Mark Campisi taking overall honours with 39 points. Brett Dostine won “A” grade with 37 points, Leigh Miller claimed “C” grade with 38, and the consistent Lori Murray secured “D” grade, also with 38 points.
