Not even an alternative course could deter Adam Evans as he led the Lakes Entrance parkrun home for the third consecutive week.
Evans completed the five kilometre run, walk or jog in 19 minutes and 35 seconds, with the first lady to cross the line, Lauren Hemingway (23.00).
Numbers were down, with only 45 enthusiasts braving the elements, including 13 first timers, while it didn’t deter four personal best times being achieved.
The event is ideal for improving your fitness, interacting with like minded people or just having some genuine fun on a Saturday morning.
Personal bests were also achieved by Brodie Darcy (20.45), Matthew Evans (23.29), Ellie Darcy (29.11), and Bev White (47.24).
Runners from six clubs took part, including Lakes and District Runners, Southern Peninsula Sporting Club, Raring2Run, I Choose Awesome, Everlasting Fitness Runners and The Cape.
The Lakes Entrance parkrun departs from the Rotunda at 8am every Saturday, welcoming participants of all ages and abilities.
