This year, the spirit of giving in the community is taking on a more unified approach, with East Gippsland Real Estate (EGRE), NAB Lakes Entrance and Lakes Entrance Neighbourhood House combining their seasonal collections into one coordinated effort.
“By combining our Easter and Mother’s Day gift drives, we hope to make an even greater impact for those who rely on the care and generosity of others,” EGRE’s Deanne Crawford said.
At the heart of the initiative is a simple message: community matters. Ongoing support for Lakes Entrance Neighbourhood House reflects a shared commitment to kindness, inclusion and practical assistance for those who need it most, with every contribution helping to brighten someone’s day.
Easter gifts will be accepted until March 30, 2026, with Mother’s Day donations closing on April 28, providing opportunities for individuals, families and local businesses to take part. Residents are encouraged to “hop” in by dropping donations at EGRE, NAB offices or Lakes Entrance Neighbourhood House, which is open Monday to Wednesday.
“Whether it’s a token of celebration, a thoughtful care package, or a simple gesture of goodwill, each donation carries a message of compassion,” Ms Crawford said.
She said the initiative highlights the importance of community connection at a time when support is increasingly vital.
“Together, we can ensure that no one feels overlooked during these special occasions and that the true meaning of giving continues to thrive,” she said.
