The Rotary Raffle in Lakes Entrance has once again been a successful event in 2026.
The winners were drawn on Saturday, March 7, at the Lakes U3A Hub by Councillor Arthur Allen on behalf of Mayor Jodie Ashworth.
The first prize of $1,000 in Aldi vouchers was won by Pauline from Orbost, who said she often supports local raffles and was thrilled that this was her lucky day. The second prize, $400 in Bunnings vouchers, went to Zavier of Berwick, who said the win would help as he and his wife settle into their new property.
Rotary president Bernard Abrecht thanked the community for its support, noting the funds raised would assist victims of the recent fires in northern Victoria and contribute to other worthy initiatives.
“Our club wants to continue assisting those affected by the recent fires and the funds we received this year will help us in this, and other, worthy efforts,” Mr Abrecht said.
