Last week’s Lakes Entrance parkrun attracted 56 eager participants, who took on the weekly five-kilometre event for a mix of fitness and fun.
The run was led home by Adam Evans in 18 minutes 42 seconds, with first female finisher Jemma Martin crossing the line in a personal best time of 22.11.
Participants completed the course by running, jogging, or walking, with 19 first-timers joining the event and nine runners recording personal best times. Kaye Hallam marked a milestone, completing her 250th parkrun, including 208 at Lakes Entrance.
Personal bests were also achieved by Toby Smith (18.54), Caroline Evans (25.31), Ashlie Weeks (29.44), Deanne McKendry (30.41), Dayna Walliker (32.06), Jayde Martin (38.33), Tiffany Kokshoorn (39.03), and Bev White (52.32).
Runners from five clubs took part, including Lakes and District Runners, Southern Peninsula Sporting Club, Elevate Running, East Gippsland Runners, and TXR Runners.
The Lakes Entrance parkrun departs from the Rotunda at 8 am every Saturday, welcoming participants of all ages and abilities.
