The Longford Cricket Club recently celebrated 150 years of cricket, mateship and family with a special anniversary gathering.
Past and present players, committee members, life members and supporters filled the room, sharing stories, laughter and memories spanning generations. The evening carried a strong sense of history, honouring not only matches won and seasons played, but the people who have shaped the club across a century and a half.
There was deep respect for those who laid the foundations of the club and pride in how it continues to thrive today.
Reflections from former club stalwarts served as a reminder that while times change, the values of mateship, commitment and a love of the game remain constant.
The celebration recognised those who built the club, the volunteers who sustain it today and the generations still to come – a fitting
tribute to 150 years and a confident toast to the next 150.
