The East Gippsland Convoy for Kids is set to return on Saturday, March 14, at the
Greater Lakes Airfield in Lakes Entrance, offering a full day of family activities while raising funds for Angel Flight and
Camp Quality.
Truck drivers from across the region will assemble at Traralgon and Orbost, forming convoys expected to arrive at the airfield around 11 am. Hundreds of trucks travelling together along the highway are set to create a striking visual spectacle.
The event will feature a Truck Show & Shine, children’s entertainment, food and merchandise stalls, helicopter rides,
trade displays, and fundraising auctions offering a range of items and experiences for public bidding.
Entry costs $5 per person or $10 per car for a Family Fun Day ticket.
In the evening, the Kalimna Hotel will host a Trucking Industry Dinner, which will include a minute of silence to honour industry members who have passed.
Gates open at 9am, giving families the opportunity to enjoy the day’s activities while supporting local children’s charities.
