Artists from across Gippsland are being invited to take part in a weekend workshop near Briagolong designed to explore creativity, focus and emotional wellbeing through a mix of art-making and psychological insight.
Inside the Creative Mind, to be held at Freestone Press, will be led by artist Gillian Kline and psychotherapist Maria Fitzgerald and is open to participants at all stages of their creative journey.
The collaborative workshop combines hands-on artistic practice with guided reflection, examining how emotional states can influence creativity and contribute to creative blocks. Organisers say participants will be encouraged to explore flow and concentration while drawing on personal experiences to develop deeper meaning in their work.
The program will be based at the Freestone Press studio at 556 Freestone Creek Road, Briagolong, making use of both the studio and surrounding bushland environment. All materials and catering will be provided, with a picnic-style lunch, tea and coffee included each day, along with options for vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free diets.
Ms Kline said the aim was to create a supportive environment where artists could experiment, reflect and connect.
“This workshop blends practical art-making with insight into the creative process, helping people understand how their experiences and emotions can shape their work,” she said.
Bookings are now open, with those interested able to contact Gillian Kline directly by phone or email for further information.
