Lakes Entrance residents have the opportunity to shape the 2026-27 East Gippsland Council budget by providing feedback on local priorities and services.
Council wants to hear which services residents value most, which need improvement, and where council is performing well. A new approach allows feedback to be submitted all year via the Your Say survey, with responses before 12 pm Monday 9 March 2026 considered for this year’s budget. Later contributions will inform the 2027-28 budget.
Mayor Cr Jodie Ashworth said the budget is guided by the Council Plan 2025-29 and ongoing community consultation.
“This is your chance to
influence decisions on road maintenance, footpaths, drainage, stormwater upgrades, community facilities, arts, recreation, climate action,
and economic development,” she said.
An information session for Lakes Entrance residents will take place at Lakes Entrance Library on Monday, February 16, from 2-4 pm. Feedback can also be provided at any council service centre or library, by email or by phone.
The Your Say survey is accessible online at Your Say East Gippsland, giving residents the chance to share ideas and suggestions directly with councillors.
