As part of its ongoing program of supporting local community groups, the Lakes Entrance Lions Club donated funds in January to the Lakes Entrance Ambulance Auxiliary to assist with the running of the local ambulance service.
Each month, the Lions Club partners with a community group to help run its weekly Lions Bingo. Every Monday night, more than 80 residents gather at the Mechanics Hall to play, with a weekly jackpot starting at $400 and sometimes exceeding $1000.
Previous beneficiaries have included Surf Life Saving Lakes Entrance, Swan Reach Hockey Club, Coast Guard, Lakes Entrance Basketball Association, CFA,
and the recently formed Lakes Entrance Little Athletics.
Local community groups interested in participating and supporting the Lions Bingo program can contact club secretary Max White.
