Emma and Nick Mahlook have expanded their celebrated Lakes Entrance restaurant Sodafish with the launch of Crudo Wine & Provisions, a deli and wine store located beneath the restaurant. After five celebrated years of Sodafish, hospitality duo Emma and Nick Mahlook have launched a new venture beneath

their iconic Lakes Entrance restaurant: Crudo Wine & Provisions.

The deli and wine store is a natural extension of Sodafish, offering the same focus on quality, simplicity and respect for great produce. Crudo features a carefully curated selection of wines and artisanal provisions, designed for takeaway and easy coastal living.

The store’s wine selection mirrors Sodafish’s highly regarded list, with local and international labels available for retail. Alongside the wines are handpicked Mediterranean ingredients from Spain, Italy, and France, including cheeses, anchovies, sardines, antipasto items and pantry staples.

Freshly baked sourdough focaccia serves as the centrepiece of the food offering. Visitors can also enjoy generous sourdough pizza slices with toppings such as mortadella, stracciatella, pistachio and local honey, or capers, confit tomatoes, buffalo mozzarella and basil. Rolls with similar fillings are perfect for smoko or a casual lunch.

For picnics, boating days, or effortless entertaining, Crudo offers grazing platters available for pre-order. A newly built jetty allows guests to pull up by boat, pick up a platter and a bottle of wine, and head straight back out on the water.

Emma and Nick invite the community to “take a slice of the Mediterranean home,” whether that’s a loaf of focaccia, a perfectly chilled bottle of Chablis, or a platter enjoyed at the end of the jetty.

Crudo Wine & Provisions is open seven days a week from 10.30am to 4.30pm, located beneath Sodafish Restaurant.
