The Central Highlands Pickleball Classic was recently played at the Ballarat Tennis Club.
The Sale Pickleball Club was represented by 12 members, who played plenty of fantastic pickleball, spurred on by everyone supporting and cheering each other in the scorching heat.
Gavin O’Shanassy, Jenny Gaskill and Suzanne Rautman experienced their first tournament joined by Christine Shingles, Andy Shingles, Alex Rennex, Judi Klimas, Steve Saynor, Chris Callaghan, Pamela Richardson, Murray Fitzclarence and Diane Arnot.
The club brought home 10 medals, with O’Shanassy just missing out on bronze in his singles event.
Christine Shingles was again the star, coming home with came home with triple gold, winning the skinny singles, split age women’s doubles with Christie Peters and 50 plus women’s doubles with Danielle Fisher, whilst also taking home silver with Rennex in the 19 plus mixed doubles.
Rennex also won gold in the mens doubles.
It was another great result for the club, with all players enjoying the tournament and the opportunity to represent the club.
