Fish and chip shop owners across Lakes Entrance now have extra time to enter Victoria’s premier fish and chip awards, with the deadline extended to February 28.

The Lamb Weston Harvest Choice Fish and Chip Awards celebrate operators who go above and beyond in quality, consistency, customer experience and sustainability.

Entry is free, quick to complete, and gives local businesses the chance to gain statewide recognition.

“We launched the Harvest Choice Fish and Chip Awards to celebrate the operators who elevate a much-loved Aussie classic,” said Simone Forster, senior marketing manager APAC at Lamb Weston.

“Extending the entry period gives more Victorian businesses the opportunity to be recognised for the quality and pride they bring to their stores every day.”

Shortlisted stores will be featured in award communications and assessed onsite by an independent panel in March. Finalists are announced in April, with winners revealed in May 2026.

Winners receive cash prizes, trophies, certificates, and point-of-sale assets to showcase their success.

Judges (and customers) will assess crisp, golden chips and perfectly cooked fish, attentive service, and a venue’s reputation. Shops showing commitment to sustainability — from eco-friendly packaging and waste reduction to responsible sourcing — will also score highly.

Categories include:

– Best fish and chips (overall)

– People’s choice

– Best regional store

– Most sustainable store

For multiple Lakes Entrance fish and chip shop owners, this is a chance to showcase local pride, gain recognition, and put their business on the map for all of Victoria to see.
