After returning to the cricket field last week in style, Jack Reggardo’s outstanding form spilled over to the golf course with a stunning round at Lakes Entrance Golf Club.
Playing last Saturday in a field of 126 players in the medley stableford, Reggardo claimed both the overall event and “D” grade with a sensational 44 points.
Jonathan Yates produced a solid round to win “A” grade with 37 points, Andrew Douglas took out “B” grade with an impressive 41, while the consistent Leo O’Keefe claimed “C” grade with 38 points.
The unluckiest player of the day was Kaleb Day, who also banked 44 points but lost out to Reggardo on countback in both “D” grade and overall honours.
Good numbers hit the course last Wednesday for the regular stableford competition, led home by “C” grade player Jenny Kesper with 40 points. She finished narrowly ahead of player of the week, Nola McKenna, who continues to perform strongly.
The long-hitting Clint Dostine took out “A” grade with 36 points, while Karen McKenna was too good in “B” grade, finishing with 38 points.
Numbers were slightly down but still impressive on Thursday, with 91 players teeing off. Greg Hayes continued his superb recent form, leading the field home to take “C” grade and the overall victory with 39 points — a score surprisingly shared by all grade winners.
Hunter Douglass claimed “A” grade, Andrew Douglas again proved too good in “B” grade, and the popular Patrick Kinsella — who has been a busy man in recent weeks — was successful in “D” grade.
