The Family History Research Centre in Lakes Entrance is inviting locals to become detectives and explore the secrets their ancestors may have left behind.
Friendly and experienced members of the Centre can guide visitors in tracing their family history, no matter where their ancestors were born, or can undertake the research on their behalf.
“We cater for everyone, regardless of where you were born and raised. Come and see what resources we have to offer — you will be amazed,” the group said.
There is a small fee of $5 per hour for research, plus 20 cents per photocopied document. These charges apply whether you do the research yourself or have members assist.
The Centre is open Monday and Saturday from
12.30pm and is located behind the Lakes Entrance
Information Centre.
