Lakes Entrance was well represented in the annual Metro verses Country Pickleball Challenge held over the weekend at the Frankston Centenary Tennis Club.
Pickleball continues to be one of the fastest growing sports in the country and this event is described by enthusiasts as the most enjoyable event of the year.
The event again attracted huge numbers, with Saturday’s play gender doubles and Sunday mixed doubles. Hundreds of games were played between 10am-4pm both days.
After the dust settled it was Metro who walked away with the title, with pickleball and its continued growth the real winner.
The event continues to get bigger each year, with next year’s event slated to be the biggest yet.
