Work by the Rotary Club of Lakes Entrance to update the ‘Welcome’ signage at the eastern entry to town was completed in time to greet travellers as they arrived for the Christmas/New Year holidays.
“The new sign marks the end of a two-year project to display Rotary’s presence in the town, and to provide an opportunity to exhibit the variety of activities that are available for residents and visitors,” club president Bernard Abrecht said.
“Our work has received lots of very positive feedback from locals and visitors, with great comments about the ‘boat’ as a symbol that depicts activities available in the area.”
“The project has been jointly sponsored by the Lakes Entrance Rotary Club, in conjunction with a generous donation from a Rotary District Grant and we are grateful for the collaboration with district that has made the project possible.”
