Gippsland Bowls Region midweek pennant will resume next week with wins crucial in all divisions with the finals only four
weeks away.
In division one, reigning premier Lakes Entrance sits on top of the ladder having only lost two matches in the first 10 rounds. It seems assureds of finals action.
It will host second-placed Bairnsdale next week in a pivotal clash which could decide top spot.
In division two east, Lakes Entrance 2 sits on top of the table after only suffering a solitary loss prior to the Christmas break and is assured of finals action.
Lakes Entrance 3 sits sixth on the table, but an important win during round 10 against Bairnsdale has kept it in the finals mix.
It has a reasonable draw on the way home, tackling Orbost, Bairnsdale Golf, Howitt Park and Paynesville.
Next week’s match at Orbost could go a long way towards sealing its fate.
Lakes Entrance 4 sits on top of the ladder in division three east, assured of finals action, while Lakes Entrance 5, which is at the bottom of the table, will be hoping it can breakthrough for its first win of the season in the final month.
