The very first Best Christmas Decorated Homes competition in Lake Tyers Beach has been judged, with organisers praising the community for making the festive season extra special.
First place was awarded to Kane and Candice Thompson at 19 Warfe Drive, with Tony and Lynne Edwards at 20 Lind Drive taking second place. Third place went to brothers Lachie and Reide at 548 Lake Tyers Beach Road, who created an impressive display across their double block.
The Light Up Lake Tyers Beach committee extended thanks to the judges — local residents Donna Rooney and Eleanor Steel, along with Toorloo Arm Fire Brigade Captain Mel Zagami and Lieutenant Dino Zagami.
Committee member Avis Salisbury said the judging process was a tough task.
“They had so many decorated themed homes to choose from, it was very hard for them to decide,” she said.
“This year, so many homes were decorated with lights and festive displays, bringing happiness and Christmas cheer to the Lake Tyers Beach community and visitors. Thank you for lighting up for Christmas.”
