Excellent numbers took to the Lakes Entrance esplanade last Saturday morning for the weekly parkrun, the five-kilometre sojourn where people run, jog or walk for fun or fitness.
Time has certainly flown since the first edition back in February 2018, with last week the 340th edition.
The event attracted 72 people, of whom 26 were first timers and five recorded new personal best times.
Jet Knur crossed the line first in a slick 17 minutes and 49 seconds, with the first female home being teenager Mia Calleja (21.05).
Personal best times were recorded by Jaxson Weeks (30.59), Ashlie Weeks (31.02), Hunee Cho (35.02), Vicki Cassidy (46.20) and Russell Horney (48.24).
Representatives of Nobby’s Nutcases, Team Veteran, Wonthaggi Road Runners, Southern Peninsula Sports Club, Box Hill AC, Lakes and
District Runners took to the course.
The event departs the rotunda at 8am each and every Saturday.
