Fireworks ring in New Year

Lakes Entrance: Wednesday, December 31 at 9.30pm and midnight.Are you looking for the ultimate New Year’s Eve celebration? Then look no further than the Lakes Entrance New Year’s Eve Festival and fireworks.

Get together with your friends and family for a night of non-stop fun and entertainment as we say goodbye to 2025 and hello to 2026.

There will be not one, but two fireworks displays, with one spectacular show lighting up the sky at 9.30pm for an early celebration, and again at midnight for the big countdown.

Loch Sport: Wednesday, December 31 from 5pm to 10pm at Lake Street, Loch Sport.

Say goodbye to 2025 and hello to 2026 on the foreshore of Loch Sport, there is plenty of space to find your spot and settle in to watch the fireworks.

Port Albert: Wednesday, December 31 from 6pm to 9pm at Rutters Park

The annual fireworks display at Port Albert is a signature event for the region. The free event attracts thousands of people to the town with a fun-filled schedule featuring markets, food trucks and kids activities.

Buchan: Wednesday, December 31 from 9pm to 12am at the Buchan Caves Hotel

Family-friendly fireworks at 9pm and again at midnight to welcome in the new year.

Paynesville: Wednesday, December 31 from 6pm to 10.45pm on the Paynesville waterfront

Grab your picnic gear and down to the Paynesville foreshore for an amazing night of live music on the Floating Tin Shed and a spectacular fireworks display at 10pm.

There will also be live music from the Damon Smith Trio from 7pm (near Progress Jetty).

Metung: Wednesday, December 31, 9.30pm at Metung Hotel.

Gather your family, friends and holiday crew for a community celebration at Metung, with Bancroft Bay set to light up with one huge magnificent fireworks display at 9.30pm launched from the barge out on the lake. Ongoers can enjoy the spectacle from the Metung Hotel of the Metung Village Green.
