The Sale and District Greyhound Racing Club is continuing to strengthen its reputation as one of Gippsland’s most vibrant community venues, combining racing excitement with quality hospitality and a warm, family-friendly atmosphere.
With a long-standing tradition of bringing people together, the club has become a popular destination for both locals and visitors seeking great food, social events and the thrill of live racing.
From weekly meetings to major seasonal celebrations, the club prides itself on offering memorable experiences on and off the track.
Graze Bistro provides relaxed dining for patrons, while regular entertainment and community-focused events ensure there
is always something on for families, racing fans and social groups.
This summer marks one of the most significant changes for the club in two decades.
After 20 years of being staged on Boxing Day, the Sale Cup will move to a new date, taking place on Saturday, January 3, 2026. To spotlight the shift, the club is introducing a new theme: the Sale Cup Beach Party, capturing the relaxed, sun-soaked feel of the holiday period.
The Beach Party will bring a lively atmosphere to the venue, with a VIP Marquee offering premium trackside views, gourmet food, access to a private bar and an eight-drink card. For general attendees, entry to The Main Wave is free and features live entertainment from DJ Chloe Wilson, a special appearance by AFL star Patrick Dangerfield, a range of food trucks and a full afternoon of summer festivities.
Bringing together racing, entertainment and hospitality under one major celebration, the new-look Sale Cup Beach Party aims to set the tone for the years ahead. The 2026 event is shaping up to deliver an unforgettable start to the new year.
