Author Angela Seran-Blue Aerth spent much of her childhood in Lakes Entrance, where she attended Kalimna Primary School and was then known as Angela Campbell.
Head teacher Michael Riley recognised Angela’s writing ability at a young age, proving to be remarkably farsighted.
Now in her 50s, Angela, an artist and holistic therapist, has published eight books. Her first, Quintessential Chaos, is a collection of poetry, writings, paintings and drawings. The next five books are packed with information and activities about animals and birds, featuring drawings, paintings and interactive content designed to inspire readers of all ages. Her final two books are the Lolly McJolly Adventures, which are rapidly gaining popularity with young readers.
Angela has also established Cloud House in Warrnambool, a creative wellbeing hub offering personalised holistic support for mind, body and spirit.
After leaving Lakes Entrance, the family travelled across the country, with Angela completing her secondary schooling by correspondence.
“Everywhere we went, she would observe and write about it,” her mother, Janice Campbell, said.
“Angela was always drawn to artistic pursuits and writing.”
The family eventually settled in Melbourne, where Angela began work before attending university as a mature-age student, studying psychology with art as an elective. She now lives in Warrnambool and is working on her next Lolly McJolly book.
Angela Seran-Blue Aerth’s books are available at Lakes Books and Games.
