The Riviera Christian Centre is lighting up Gippsland this festive season with a threefold celebration: the delivery of Christmas Boxes to families in need, the region’s Christmas Carols Festival and a heartfelt Christmas Eve Service.
The Christmas Box program is already underway, aiming to reach 750 families across the region.
The operation has demanded 48 hours of pre–setup planning, 40 hours of on–site preparation, and 204 hours of packing and delivery work, supported by the tireless efforts of 60 volunteers.
Together, they are distributing boxes filled with essentials, festive treats and messages of encouragement, ensuring households feel the warmth of community this Christmas.
Adding to the season’s joy, the Christmas Carols Festival — one of the biggest carols events in the region — will be held on Saturday, December 14, from 12pm to 6pm.
Families are invited to book tickets, with proceeds directly supporting the Christmas Box initiative.
The festival will feature live music, choirs, festive activities and opportunities for children and families to celebrate together, making it a cornerstone of Gippsland’s Christmas calendar.
The celebrations will culminate in a Christmas Eve Service on Tuesday, December 24, from 6pm to 7pm.
The service will blend traditional readings, carols, and a message of hope, offering a moment of peace and unity before Christmas Day.
Together, these initiatives reflect the
Riviera|cc commitment to spreading joy, fostering connection, and ensuring that Christmas in Gippsland is marked by generosity, music and faith.
