Lake Tyers residents will soon benefit from improved public transport infrastructure, with a new bus stop shelter funded through the State Government’s Flexible Local Transport Solutions Program.
Minister for Public and Active Transport Gabrielle Williams announced that more than $1 million will be invested in small-scale transport projects across regional Victoria, including the installation of new bus shelters at Lake Tyers, Willow Grove, Sale and Heyfield.
The upgrade will provide a safer and more comfortable waiting area for passengers, particularly during extreme weather, and aims to improve access to public transport for the local community.
Ms Williams said the government is committed to backing projects that “make a real difference for communities”, noting that better transport connections lead to “better opportunities”.
