Aqua Park making a splash

New signage has brightened up the Lakes Entrance Aqua Park entrance. (PS)

The Lakes Entrance Aqua Park, or Water Park as most refer to it as, is now up and running for the summer and holiday season.

The Water Park will open every weekend from now on and will open daily when the Christmas school holidays start on December 19.

“We were keen to open this season on the Melbourne Cup long weekend,” owner Will Yeap said.

“The weather wasn’t perfect when we first opened but we had a good crowd on Sunday, November 2, when it was warmer.

We are hoping for a good, hot summer this year. The spring season so far has been a bit wet, but we hope it will turn the corner and there is more warmer weather ahead.”

Will said the new shed is up and running with new, bright signage on the outside so all can see where they are located.

“We are very happy with the new building and it is a far cry from the old green shed we had before,” he said.

“The new shed is very well built, fully insulated and thankfully there’s no leaking roof.

We are applying some finishing touches on the inside with installation of a new counter and lockers for customers.”

As the building cannot be called the ‘Green Shed’, anymore LEAP is running a competition to find a “cool” name for the new shed. The competition is

open until December 15, 2025, with the chance to win two season passes worth $400.

“Anyone with a good suggestion please email us at info@lakesentranceaquapark.com.au,” he said.

LEAP is looking for lifeguards and administration staff for the Water Park operation this season and encourages anyone interested to get in touch via the email or call in.

They also have a great offer for the local community with a saving on a season pass which might be a handy Christmas present for those hard to buy for.

“We are currently running an early bird promotion where the Water Park Season Passes can be purchased cheaper.

A season pass is good value, especially for locals who can come and go as many times as they like over the holidays.

Kids can enjoy unlimited visits when the Water Park is open, and we hope that will also deter anyone from coming to the Water Park at night.

“Our website or Facebook page are always a good place to find out the latest Water Park opening time and happenings.”

The Water Park will be open until Easter 2026.
