It has been another busy week on the water at the Metung Yacht Club with the action beginning to hot up.

Saturday’s action saw Harmony – Peter LeRoy, Bill Newcomen, Tom Moore (helm) and Michael Metcalfe – the winners of the daily race and heat three of the three-race Sou’wester trophy series.

Harmony won all three heats in the series on handicapped time, while second was

Leading Edge, which was also the first boat across the finish line.

It was an interesting evening at midweek twilight sailing last week with Saffron and Wind Charmer awarded equal first and Aria finishing third.

Aboard Saffron were Andy Murray (helm), Dean Robson and Ramsay Beecham, while Wind Charmer was crewed by Peter Bull (helm), Wendy and Mike Brown.

The event was contested by five boats, in a gusty south west breeze.

Wind Charmer with Peter Bull (helm), Wendy Brown and Mike Brown aboard, shared honours last week in midweek twilight sailing at the Metung Yacht Club. Officials couldn’t split saffron and Wind Charmer as they hit the line. (PS)
