Mystery surrounds the first athlete home in last Saturday’s edition of the Lakes Entrance parkrun, an unregistered participant crossing the line first on a beautiful sunny morning.
The event saw 58 participants take the opportunity to walk, jog or running along the waters edge, in the weekly five kilometre sojourn.
Organisers welcomed 14 first timers to the Lakes Entrance parkrun and two very first timers to park running.
It was great to see 10 parkrunners celebrating with exciting personal bests.
Ryan Blyth was the first registered participant home at his first look at the course in 19 minutes and 35 seconds, with the first female home also making her course debut, Clare Lonergan (21.19).
Personal best times were recorded by Levi Walliker (20.48), Harry Reed (21.06), Josh Weeks (23.17), Chelsea Reed (26.32), Zoe Nairn (26.33), Caroline Evans (26.35), Dallas Riseley (31.55), Elizabeth Hiscock (33.04), Dayna Walker (40.06) and Rosemary Roberts (46.01).
The field contained participants from the Benoni Northerns Athletics Club, Canberra Runners, Lakes and District Runners and Southern Peninsula Sports Club.
