Josh Gibbs led the field home in last Saturday’s edition of the Lakes Entrance parkrun at his very first look at the course.
Gibbs was one of five first time participants on the five kilometre course along the picturesque esplanade.
He crossed the line in 19 minutes and 32 seconds, leaving 28 other competitors, who enjoyed a walk, jog or run in his wake.
Lynee Olinsky-Jones was the first woman home in 27 minutes and 58 seconds, while three other exercisers were delighted to register a personal best time.
They included Peter Bartlett (20.18), Dallas Riseley (32.12) and Melina Perera (45.23).
Participants departed from the rotunda at 8am with representatives from the Red and Black Running, Southern Peninsula Sports Club,, Lakes and District Runners and Australia Post Group all spotted out on
the course.
