Lakes Entrance Football Netball Club held its best and fairest counts at the Lakeside Oval last Sunday, with winners of the major awards Liam Carroll and Lucy Carroll.
Liam Carroll (85) was successful in the senior football count, finishing ahead of Sam Brown (77), Angus McKenzie (57) and Angus Stevens (54), who impressed in his first season of senior football.
Only seven votes separated the top four placegetters in the “A” grade netball with Lucy Carroll (36) victorious from Abbey Yates (33), Poppy Carroll (30) and Tilly Richardson (29).
Tim Sinclair (79), was an easy winner of the reserves’ top award, finishing well ahead of Kaleb Day (56) and James Daly (50).
In the thirds, midfielders Harper Davis (111) and Bill Prior (100) finished miles ahead of the rest, Davis rewarded for his outstanding consistency.
Makayla Grabham capped off a great season, winning both the “B” grade and under 17 awards.
In “B” grade she finished five votes ahead of Bonnie Rotheram, while in the under 17s she had eight votes to spare from Lucy Carroll.
Matilda Richardson (38) was on top of the leaderboard when counting ended in “C” grade, closely followed by Alicia Friend (33), Verity Jakins (32) and Danielle Piper (30).
In “D” grade , Harriet Copeland was a runaway winner from Emily O’Donnell.
Sadie Stevens (47) was the winner in the under 15s from Tulli McLeod (35), while her sister Haddie McLeod (40) went one better in the under 13s, edging out Ruby Jakins (35).
Presentation night will be held at the Central Hotel this Saturday from 5.30pm.
