Stratford Pony Club hosted a huge day of Interschool Showjumping last Saturday at the Sale Showgrounds.
What started out as a windy day turned into a chilly but great competition for the young riders who performed superbly in difficult conditions.
Overall champion awards were won by Mirboo North Primary School’s Oliiva Snell (freshman), Gippsland Grammar’s Jack Gilbert (encourage), Catholic College Sale’s Grace Speirs (impovers), Maffra Secondary College’s Xanthe Wade (progressive), Monivae College’s Matilda Mason (intermediate and stars) and Nakita Willis (advanced).
Reserve champion winners were St Patrick’s Primary Stratford student Harper Nicklen (freshman), Catholic College Sale’s Ruby Allen (encourage), Gippsland Grammar’s Emily Wagstaff (improvers), Willis (progressive), Tessa Leen (intermediate), Catholic College Sale’s Emily Kelly (advanced) and Sale College’s Ava Harrington (stars).
The best performed off the track thoroughbred was Arthuras ridden by Matilda Mason
