THUMBS DOWN: Residents in the Wiseleigh-Mossiface area playing music all night and/or running machinery and working in sheds until 3am and several nights a week – all night and day.
THUMBS UP: To all the dedicated volunteers who were out and about for Legacy Week. Seeing the smiling faces of Legatees and supporters outside supermarkets in Bairnsdale, Paynesville and Lakes Entrance, no matter the weather, was a wonderful reminder of the strong community spirit we have here. Thank you for your service.
THUMBS DOWN: To the lazy shoppers who leave their trolleys in the middle of parking bays or on nature strips. It only takes a minute to return them to the trolley bay. It’s not just inconsiderate to other drivers trying to park, but it’s also a hazard and could easily damage someone’s car.
THUMBS DOWN: To the impatient drivers who dangerously overtake on the Princes Highway between Bairnsdale and Lakes Entrance. The double lines are there for a reason. Arriving a minute or two earlier is not worth risking your life and the lives of others on the road. Please slow down and show some courtesy.
THUMBS DOWN: To the small minority of dog owners who don’t pick up after their pets in our public spaces and on walking tracks. It spoils the enjoyment for everyone else and is completely avoidable. Please be responsible and keep our beautiful region clean for all to enjoy.
