THUMBS DOWN: To local big business who are grubby corporate citizens living in a clean, neat and tidy neighbourhood but lack civic pride letting rubbish gather around the
perimeter of their store and car parks consistently. It’s not a good look for neighbours.
THUMBS UP: To the East Gippsland Shire who consistently clean our streets and gardens. It’s a never ending thankless job. Citizens and business could be more socially aware.
THUMBS UP: To the very honest person who handed my handbag in at Woolworths on Sunday. All contents still in tact, very much appreciated.
THUMBS DOWN: I have recently spent sometime on a farm in Ensay and to my utter bewilderment I found I had no phone coverage – Telstra! If I was so inclined I could brave the elements and go to the highest hill on the farm and get limited coverage. Why is this so when Telstra boasts its coverage and continues to increase my and my family’s plans?
THUMBS DOWN: The bins throughout the CBD of Bairnsdale are there for community members to use, have a clean conscience. It’s driving me mad to see a bit of litter two foot in front of a bin.
