There have still been some solid reports of catches, despite the cold weather, forcing a few people to stay home in the warmth and plenty of water in

Lake Tyers.

Lakes Entrance: Offshore fishing is good for salmon (use bigger baits/lures and burley trails) and swordfish in deeper waters. Lake fishing is slow.

Lake Tyers: Cold and muddy, with bream and flathead biting on lures, especially near structures.

Metung: Salmon along the boardwalk (use prawn).

LAKE TYERS: Neil Simpson has been catching plenty of bream lately, reporting the bream are like footballs – fat and healthy. His preferred method of catch at present is Hurricane Sprat lures. (PS)
