Saturday’s Lakes Entrance parkrun saw 31 participants walk, jog and run for fun, fitness or both along the Lakes Esplanade.
The field was led home by youngster, Jet Knur in a personal best time of 17 minutes and 37 seconds.
Peta Bassett, in her 100th parkrun, led
the women home in 25 minutes and 39 seconds, sharing the century milestone with Kirsten Daly.
The event departed from the rotunda at 8am with five personal best times achieved and representatives of nine running groups taking part.
The weekly event attracts like-minded people and affords the opportunity to get some exercise while socialising.
The event saw representatives from Southern Peninsula Sporting Club,
Lakes and District Runners, Australia
Post Group, Everlasting Fitness Runners,
Team Veteran, Nobby’s Nutcases, Crosbie Crew, The Adventurers and East
Gippsland Runners.
Best times were recorded by Chris O’Brien (21.07), Dallas Riseley (33.38), Cody Cuthbertson (38.20), Lee-Ann Moore (41.10) and Peter Kenworthy (45.41).
The first Lakes Entrance parkrun was conducted on February 3, 2018.
