Rain restricted play at the Lakes Entrance Golf Club to just two days last week, with numbers down in the competitions that were held.
Tuesday’s Young and the Rest of Us event was won by Carole Dostine with a score of 18 points, finishing ahead of Karen Nicholas on 16.
Bernie Hoppe led the “A” field home at Ruthless and Toothless, with Peter Nicholas runner up, in “B” grade Wishy Lunan came out on top, with Daryl Brassil
runner up.
Saturday’s medley stableford event, attracted a field of 49 players, with good scoring the order of the day.
The overall and “A” grade winner was Dylan Nikolajew with a sensational 41 points, Igor Malejew continued his excellent recent form to take “B” grade with 38 points, while Adrian Parry was again the winner in “C” grade, this time with 30 points.
Classy left hander, Mark Jackson and club champion, Renee Percival were not among the winners, despite having 40 and 39 points respectively.
Percival picking up some consolation, winning two nearest the pins, as did young Connor Guillot, who also had a good round, finishing with 36 points.
