Nicholson Angling Club conducted round seven of its 2025 competition series last weekend with some great catches recorded and released.
In what turned out to be a sensational weekend for fishing, the event saw 236 bream caught.
Marcus Fitzpatrick led the way catching the longest bream, a magnificent 44 centimetres species, the envy of all the other anglers.
Connor Cassar had a great weekend, his 192 centimetre string of five showing
everyone there are still plenty of quality fish in the system.
The consistent Nikki Bryant won the longest women’s bream with a 38 centimetre ripper while the longest bream on bait went the way of Rob Miller for a 37 centimetre catch.
Junior winners were Kody Bird (36.5 centimetres) and Xander Whibley (30 centimetres).
Secret length winners were Hamish Ellis, Thomas White, Luke Healey and Shelley Arnold.
The next competition is on August 2-3, with all bream measured to the fork.
