There were some great results for Catholic College Sale at the recent Gippsland Regional Cross Country finals at the Drouin Golf Club.
The school walked away with two individual winners and 15 students qualifying for the School Sports Victoria State Finals to be held at the Yarra Valley Race Course on July 24.
It was one of the school’s best cross
country results in recent years, highlighted by individual victories to Jack Alcock
(12 – 13 years boys) and Taylah Mizzi
(15 years girls).
Alcock ran an impressive 11 minutes and 13 seconds for the three-kilometre course, equally as impressive was Taylah Mizzi crossing the line in 12 minutes and
three seconds.
Other outstanding results were achieved by Cruz Duck (second in 15 years boys), Oliver Sullivan (third 15 years boys), Sam Crouch (fifth 15 years boys) and Arabella Fowler (fifth 14 years girls).
Also qualifying and currently preparing for the state finals are Suzie Coleman, Grace Rowell, Summer Gieschen, Maddi Mizzi, Evie Jones, Rob Sullivan, Bentley Johnston, Jobe Bailey and Hunter Wynd.
