THUMBS DOWN: To the takeaway shop owner who threatens staff. I called to update my order and was shocked to hear the way I was spoken to by a young team member — completely uncalled for.
THUMBS UP: What a brilliant start to snow season. The conditions have been near perfect and whether people have been making a day trip or staying longer, they would have bee thrilled with the amount of snow cover and fun being had. But THUMBS DOWN, the cost of a day trip or longer stay on the mountain is becoming outrageous and is largely unattainable for many families. We love promoting our region as a tourism hotspot, but price hikes won’t do anything to attract people in the current financial climate.
THUMBS UP: To those brave souls who leaped into the Lakes for the Winter Solstice Dip last Saturday morning. It was really the peak of winter but it didn’t stop you from making a great scene outside the Lakes Entrance Coastguard Building.
