The Bairnsdale Bullets junior squad teams recently held their presentation afternoon at Club Eastwood, a culmination of a huge season and a massive commitment by players, coaches and parents, backed by by the logistical nous of the Bairnsdale Basketball Association.
The afternoon was a celebration and and acknowledgement of all those who have contributed to a successful squad season.
Countless training hours, thousands of kilometres traveled, three point shots taken, fouls given and some trophies bought home.
But most of all, friendships were forged, memories made and Bairnsdale Basketball has made their mark in 2024/25, with plans to make 2025/26 bigger and better.
The committee is thankful for the efforts of squad coordinator, Sharon Royal, the coaches and team managers for their efforts and time given throughout their season.
Most improved player awards were given to Nate Barnes (under 10 boys), Noah Froud (under 12.1 boys), Sam Snow (under 12.2 boys), Fletcher Mooney (under 12.3 boys), Hannah Ashley (under 12 girls), Logan Dick (under 14 boys), Lola Phair (under 14 girls), Jai Pyke (under 16 boys), Tulli McLeod (under 16 girls) and Zane Delaney (under 19 boys).
Coach’s awards were won by Nixon Dennison (under 10 boys), Jaxon Crawley(under 12.1 boys), Nate Gardam (under 12.2 boys), Max Cavanagh (under 12.3 boys), Anna Bryan (under 12 girls), Noah Gardam (under 14 boys) and Millah Hutton (under 14 girls).
Player’s player award winners were Jai Pyke (under 16 boys), Abby Vernon (under 16 girls) and Ollie Palmer (under 19 boys).
