Maritime safety regulator, Safe Transport Victoria, is teaming up with Gippsland Lakes Yacht Club at Paynesville, to host a practical, hands-on safety workshop designed especially for
women who enjoy boating, kayaking or paddling.
Boating activities include sailing and motor cruises.
Held at the Gippsland Lakes
Yacht Club in Paynesville, on Saturday, May 31, this event is open to all women in Gippsland and further afield.
Whether you are out on the water every weekend or just starting out, this is your chance to build your confidence, learn practical safety tips and connect with other local women who share your love of
the water.
You’ll learn how to properly fit, service and maintain your
lifejacket and those of your children and friends.
A lifejacket is one of the most essential pieces of equipment
you will ever need or use for
water activities.
Experts from Safe Transport Victoria will also talk through how quickly weather conditions can change and how to be prepared on the water when they do, to improve your safe return to shore.
